February 23, 2010 – BrightSource Energy, an ACORE member, received a conditional $1.37 billion loan guarantee for a solar thermal power complex in the Mojave Desert that would ultimately produce nearly 400 megawatts of electricity. This project would almost double the existing generation capacity of solar thermal power in the U.S.
